Sydney Metro is trying to solve a huge bottleneck in the T3 Bankstown Line by converting 11 stations between Bankstown and Sydenham to metro standards by installing lift shafts and new accessible platforms as part of the NSW Government Transport Access Program.

Kilmac Civil was contracted to undertake the demolition, earthworks, CSR, drainage and asphalting works at Hurlstone Park Station as the main subcontractor. This involved various shutdowns and a huge 14-day round-the lock shutdown to finish the station in time.
